Taking on the comments given to us and what we thought would look more appropriate for a thriller film, we decided to make some changes. We decided to change the titles first as we thought that the font wasn't appropriate for a thriller. We also changed the positioning of the titles. We moved the titler 'On Edge' from the beginning to the end. By doing this we believe that it will create more suspense.

We showed this version in class and continued to get more feedback. It was said that the titling was very minimalistic which worked well. We stuck with it being basic although we decided to change the font and also the positioning. There was a ripple effect used and it was seen as unnecessary so we decided to take it out. The reason for it being there was to show you are going back into her mind.
Hi - I think the overall structure of this opening is good with good use of Mise En Scene and a good overall story that I could be developed into a nice story! I feel the titles need work (bit more interesting) . Good use of transitions also!
ReplyDeleteThis film worked very well as an opening to a thriller. It left me asking myself a lot of questions. The transitions used e.g the ripple thing created a good effect as it made me think of water which seemed to be a large part of the opening. The mise en scene was good but I did not understand what she picked up out of the cupboard. In my view it looked like deodorant? The titling was very minimalistic which I thought worked well.
ReplyDeleteGroup Member 1: I like the idea of the story and contributes well to the thriller genre. the use of CU and MS with the mirror were great in creating an insight into the protagonists problems.
ReplyDeleteThe ending song was also good as it had an industrial feel to it and was eerie.
